f today’s 15 vocabulary words, which three do you think you will use the most in your speaking and writing this semester? Explain why each word feels useful or powerful to you.

I will probably use affinity, ambiguous, amorphous. I would use the word affinity when talking about something that I or a character like or have a certain connection with. I think I would use it a lot in storytelling and creative writing. I like the word ambiguous because of how it means unclear because I can utilize it to describe something I may not understand myself. Finally, I like the word amorphous for the same reason, that the word is unclear and mysterious.

Today in class we brainstormed and learned the steps to writing.

Today I learned how to make a brainstorm that connects to a central idea and branches off.

As we think about our upcoming Vocabulary Monday, tell me what is your favorite word RIGHT NOW? Why is it your faovorite word and how often do you use it?

Write about a time when you realized you needed to look out for yourself in a silly or harmless situation—maybe dodging a pop quiz, escaping a group chat argument, or remembering at the last second to submit an assignment. How did choosing wisely make your life easier?

The last scene forces readers to reinterpret Emily’s entire life. Write about a moment when new information changed your perception of a person or situation. How did that “plot twist” reshape your understanding, the same way Faulkner’s ending reshapes the story?
