Describe how you spent your time, any activities, traditions, travel, hobbies, or moments that stood out to you. You may also discuss something new you tried, something you learned, or how the break helped you reset before returning to school. Keep your response appropriate for a school setting and focus on experiences you are comfortable sharing publicly

Over the break, I went to the beach with my best friends. We stayed for three nights and stayed with my mom. We got to go out in the sun and walk around in shopping areas. When we came back, I spent the next days relaxing and catching up on work, as well as seeing other my other friends and talking on the phone. The break let me rest and reset before i had to go back to school, and it let me take time to myself.

In class, we analyzed a poem about resilience and identified its similes and metaphors.

I learned how to use thinking skills to find deeper metaphors.
