Choose a vocabulary word from Lesson 10 that resonates with you personally. Write a blog post explaining why this word is significant to you, including any personal memories or experiences that link you to the word.

The word luminous resonates with me personally. It reminds me of my sister because she has always had a bright soul that inspires me. This word is very positive to me and brings a sense of peace to me. It reminds me of when my sister and I were younger and we would play in the back yard until we had to go inside for dinner. It was a very hopeful and joyful time which the word luminous reminds me of.

In class, we did vocabulary Monday.

I learned new words like majordomo and untenable.

As we think about our upcoming Vocabulary Monday, tell me what is your favorite word RIGHT NOW? Why is it your faovorite word and how often do you use it?

Write about a time when you realized you needed to look out for yourself in a silly or harmless situation—maybe dodging a pop quiz, escaping a group chat argument, or remembering at the last second to submit an assignment. How did choosing wisely make your life easier?

The last scene forces readers to reinterpret Emily’s entire life. Write about a moment when new information changed your perception of a person or situation. How did that “plot twist” reshape your understanding, the same way Faulkner’s ending reshapes the story?
