Today you worked on creating your Vocabulary Digital Cards in Adobe Express. In one well-developed paragraph, reflect on the assignment by explaining which vocabulary word was easiest for you to understand, which word was most challenging, and how creating your own sentence and selecting an image helped strengthen your understanding of the vocabulary. Use specific examples from your work.

In the assignment, the easiest word for me to understand was benign because I have heard it before, specifically when talking about tumors. The hardest word for me to understand was corroborate because it sounded similar to the word collaborate but has a different meaning. Creating sentences helped me understand words by putting them into real-life context. For example, for the word recrimination, I made a sentence about a debate to help me picture two people accusing each other. Using images was also helpful, as I learn and memorize better with visuals.

In class, we completed note cards on vocabulary.

I learned new words like soporific and pervasive.

As we think about our upcoming Vocabulary Monday, tell me what is your favorite word RIGHT NOW? Why is it your faovorite word and how often do you use it?

Write about a time when you realized you needed to look out for yourself in a silly or harmless situation—maybe dodging a pop quiz, escaping a group chat argument, or remembering at the last second to submit an assignment. How did choosing wisely make your life easier?

The last scene forces readers to reinterpret Emily’s entire life. Write about a moment when new information changed your perception of a person or situation. How did that “plot twist” reshape your understanding, the same way Faulkner’s ending reshapes the story?
